ABOUT US

We believe access to your own property should never come at a premium.

OUR STORY

Fobber launched in 2020 with a simple aim - to challenge an industry that had become increasingly monopolistic and detrimental to consumers. As RFID access control spread across the UK's apartment buildings, commercial spaces and vehicles, the companies managing that technology had little incentive to keep key copies and replacements fair or affordable. We set out to be the alternative.

Founded by Jacob Riggs, a UK-based ethical hacker, we are run by a team of experienced security researchers, and that depth of expertise in RFID technology is what powers our service - proprietary cloning techniques, a streamlined order-to-delivery process, and a multi-point quality assurance test for every key before it ships. We are not built on high margins, but on volume and customer satisfaction - continuous research against real-world RFID systems keeps our service fast, reliable and affordable, and customer feedback shapes what we improve next.

Fobber strives to remain not just the most affordable, but also the most reliable and advanced key fob cloning service in the UK.

A note from the Founder

I launched Fobber to solve a problem I'd observed developing throughout urbanised areas from the rapid rise of sky-rise apartments, commercial properties, and electric smart cars that commonly rely on RFID door access control systems managed by third parties.

Too often, these third parties represent greedy property management and automotive agencies that capitalise on the fact that their customers sometimes need key fobs copied or replaced simply to access their own properties. I watched customers feel pressured into accepting key copying and replacement services through contracted 'lock-in' relationships that command extortionate prices - a problem compounded by the proprietary nature of RFID technology.

Fobber was my answer to that problem - a service built to put the keys people already own back in their hands.
